Patent Registration

A patent is exclusive rights given to an inventor for a limited period in time to exclude others from creating, selling, or using the invention. Patents are granted in the UAE if the criteria of Novelty, Inventive Concept, and Industrial Applicability is met. If the application is accepted then it will be made open for the public for 60 days. In case it is objected, the inventor has the right to appeal within 60 days.

The advantage here is if the individual or their heir wants to improve, add or make changes to the invention even after it is patented they have the right; to apply for an additional patent.
